"Having only lived in Telluride for 18 months, I found it very hard to totally fit in and my discouragement only grew when I began to ...........

"The people are indeed wonderful and I am sure the kindness and hospitality will quickly return, but it is a hard time in this beautiful town these days and the residents of Telluride are a "passionate" bunch.

"With the Telluride community all riled up about everything, I decided to call my friend Henry54 in Tulsa and invite him and his sweety, Ailsa out to Colorado and go on a vacation with me. When in doubt...TRAVEL!. Henry and Ailsa agreed to come and hang out with me (since Mela was in France at a meeting with our financial backers) and it was decided I would pick my friends up at the Denver International Airport on the following Thursday. "

"After a long, wonderful bear hug, I went backstage to a small dressing room with Warren, He asked about Mela, Twisted Dragon and Craftie and about how things were going in Moove. I told him about the concert in Gabon and the wierd poofing; how Craftie had vanished and how Twisted was really never the same after her abduction in Brazil. "Any chance of Angel Kiss ever playing together again", Warren asked me. "I can only wish", I answered sadly. Warren got a look of pondering on his face and he smiled. "Well, tonight is tonight", he said as he handed me a rough draft of the playlist. "I think it is best if we start out with "Gold Dust Woman" and just let things flow from there", he added as we both got up. "Sounds Good", I answered confidently although I was all jitters since I had not performed since Africa. I lost them as soon as the introduction was over and the lights came on."

"We discussed our planned vacation all the way to Ridgway, with Ailsa and Henry getting more excited with each passing mile. Upon arriving in town, we went directly to our lodging at the Chipeta Sun Lodge to freshen up and relax before strolling into the town center. Once checked into our luxurious room, I could tell it was going to be tough getting any of us to leave the grounds of the Chipeta Sun Lodge"

"A pair of ghostly cowboys, high on their mounts, came galloping across an unknown desert, causing dust to rise into the blazing orange sky. I could not make out the features on their faces or the fabric of their attire. Whether it was the sun setting in my line of vision or the fact they did not wish to be seen I cannot say, but the outline of the dark bodies showed strength."

"Upon reachin' Silverton, ye will search fur a wooden cabin wi' a peeled willow-wain placed athwart a half-open duir. ignair tradition an' enter thes duir. the owner has seen thee wee bits ay tea stems floatin' in a cuppa, he is expectin' ye.He turned his horse and glanced back at me one time and said, "Keep a stoot heart tae a stey brae, Keep a stoot heart tae a stey brae"

Big Baby, born of a carnival sideshow couple, roamed the rugged mountains between Ouray and Silverton. At more than 400 pounds, Big Baby wore on a crudely made diaper as he sought sustinence from man and beast alike."
